About the Author

I am the mother of four children for which the last two, I homeschooled. In today’s world most households need both parents to make money to contribute to raising the family, so I came up with a way to help out and be home with the kids too. Searching around, I found mystery shopping back in 2006 and dabbled in it while homeschooling my oldest daughter. I took my daughter to restaurant shops and we ate for free while I observed the scenario that was set forth by the company who hired me to do the evaluation. Also, I did many other types of jobs and it helped bring some extra funds in for the family budget, not to mention something different and fun for my daughter and I to do.
Fast forward to 2022, my husband and I retired from our commercial installation business and I felt like I wanted to do something fun and bring in some “Fun Money” without committing to a job every day. I remembered the mystery shopping gigs from way back and decided to search out those companies and see if I could get back into doing some today.
I have found many companies and have signed up with them, and eventually signed up for over ninety companies so I could have many different types of jobs to choose from. What began as a little something to make some extra cash soon began netting some decent dough. After perfecting the mystery shopping/evaluation gigs, I’ve delved into some other types of gig work. What took me a little while to figure out on my own, I will share with you so you can get started quickly and avoid pitfalls. I’m going to tell you all about it in !this publication. Enjoy, and welcome to the world of Gig Work!
